I am not a competitive gal.
I get bored to pieces during marathon games of Monopoly.
I cringe whenever the words “I brought Cranium!” are spoken.
And if one more person tells me how “awesome” Settlers of Catan is, it is possible that I could start screaming. But Scrabble… I LOVE Scrabble!
Whether I win or lose, it doesn’t really matter. The personal challenge of making a word, any word, out of the random draw of tiles, really excites me.
When I got a chance to take home the company iPad for a test drive, it was the only thing I installed myself and the app I used nearly constantly, either playing solo games or matches and rematches with my boyfriend, it was great fun. We would watch television and pass the device back and forth (we are multi-taskers), the cat couldn’t walk across the board and mess it up, no lost tiles to hunt for under the couch, and best of all: NO MATH! The app keeps score for you, which you can ignore or rub in your partners face. And if you have a friend with an iPad, you can also play remotely with them!
