Manna's passion is creating harmony between human capabilities and the design of systems and services.

Her path to Usability Matters began as an undergraduate student at the University of Calgary, studying Psychology and working in the Cognitive Ergonomics Research Laboratory (CERL). During her time at CERL, she was involved in a number of projects, including evaluating the understandability of medical labels for the Consumer Association of Canada. She continued her studies, completing a M.Sc through the Design and Environmental Analysis program at Cornell University. Her thesis topic focused on how to reduce exit attempts among Alzheimer’s patients through door design modifications. After graduating, Manna became a Human Factors Engineering Specialist with General Dynamics Canada, where she was exposed to the new and unfamiliar world of military interfaces and hardware.

Since joining Usability Matters, Manna has worked on projects for Canwest Media and John Wiley and Sons.

In her personal life, Manna enjoys spending time with her small family, and exploring all the city of Toronto has to offer.
