Steven’s aesthetic bias for simplicity and elegance in all areas of design translates into a passion for creating usable software.
On a path that includes small entrepreneurial software companies to prestigious financial enterprises, Steven has found the small creative nature of Usability Matters and the wide variety of our projects to be endlessly appealing. Prior to his entry into the world of user experience, Steven worked in the performing arts, including a lengthy stint of production planning and technological deployments at the National Ballet of Canada.
Since joining Usability Matters, Steven has had the pleasure of working on projects in multiple countries, cultures and languages and across the full spectrum of industry verticals. Recent projects have included work with CBC, Virgin Radio, Microsoft, Canadian Tire, CIBC, Lavalife and an exciting travel industry project in the Middle East.
In his personal life, Steven spends time with his two greyhounds, both retired racing dogs, and is actively involved in programs which rescue and transition these wonderful animals into a domestic lifestyle once their track careers are over.
