That’s a great example, Brett. There must be other apps–without hardware–that change the dynamics of a market. Frankly, I can’t think of any. Maybe Final Cut Pro, which overtook the old reel-to-reel film editor?

But that’s partly my point. They aren’t many. There don’t need to be.

A cute and quirky post regarding broad competition re-hashed by fellow competitors.

Not that an app can not become a game changer, but I find that it’s the additional hardware addons that are changing the game.

With the announcement of Salvation Army picking up Square (https://squareup.com/) this is definitely a game changer in regards to eliminating excuses such as “Sorry I don’t have any change.”

Now whether or not the actual Square will revolutionize the ecommerce market, we’ll have to wait and see. (I actually hope it does).

It’s real life examples like Square that app developers should be conjuring up become “Game Changers” in the app field. Sure Square is a piece of hardware that although it doesn’t fit into the taxonomy of software, it’s still connected. After all, Square will need an app to run on right?

Great post! This’ll keep me stocked with new tunes for quite a while!

I’m not ashamed to admit I listen to things like:

- Glee
- The Book of Mormon Soundtrack
- Lights
- The Muppets Green Album
- Taylor Swift

Alongside more sophisticated offerings like:
- Imogen Heap
- Stars
- The Paper Raincoat

For wireframing, it must be boppy. For report writing, it must be lyric-less! Wireframing to Bach would be absolutely impossible for me

Kristi, I’m on the case. Ironically I forgot you were asking about my Omnigraffle scripts so I first figured out how to do this in my Visio scripts the other day.

I’m not using Omnigraffle anymore so I’m a bit out of the Applescripting mode, but will tackle this on my home computer one night. Will keep you updated.

One question, I’m trying to set my text formatting to be bold after running the script and I’m having issues getting it to work.

Any ideas?
